    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 20 годин тому

      @preeper_, at this point your work experience is not relevant. They will pay you based on the cost of labor for the level, role, and location. Now, you just need to anchor high, especially on the equity portion of your offer. Congrats on making it to this stage and good luck with your negotiations!!

    Hi Jeff, Amazing content and advice! I have a question. I passed my technical interview for the Cloud Technical Resident role and was invited to continue interviewing. I just had my GCA and Googleyness interviews, but I felt like I underperformed in the Googleyness interview. How likely am I to make it to the hiring committee? My technical interviewer was really impressed with my skills and even stayed 15 minutes after the interview to get to know me. Also, this is my second time interviewing for the same role. I felt much more prepared and got a referral, so I don’t know if that helps.

      @MrWowfan305, I can never provide a great answer on whether or not you will make it to HC without seeing the feedback, but the good news is that you performed well overall. They take a look at the overall feedback to decide whether or not to move forward to HC. You may also have a chance to redo the G&L if all the other feedback is really strong. Good luck!!!

    Does Google internally verify the Google Cloud certifications, labs, and arcade games completed by candidates? Furthermore, do these achievements enhance one's prospects of being hired compared to other candidates?

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 7 днів тому

      @sanjaysukumaran4248, I have not seen Google verify any external certifications, in regards to labs and games, as long as those were not Google specific assignments, I would also say highly unlikely. These items alone do not increase the chances of getting hired at Google, but I do believe learning, and learning in the specific areas Google cares about, really helps during the interviews.

    what do I do if I don't have a lot of stories that may fit in some of the behavioural question scenarios?

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 12 днів тому

      @gamefun2525, great question. What you want to look for is the broader theme of the question. For instance if the question is tell me about a time when you had a conflict with your manager, but you never had a conflict with your manager. Overall, you probably have an example of a conflict you faced. So you could tell your interviewer, I am really fortunate in my career to have great managers, I don't have a conflict example with a manager, but I do have a conflict example with a peer, is it okay if I use that example? So, when this happens try to think broader and usually we will have something close enough to share. I hope this helps!

      @chinenyeomire-oluedo7463, the Recruiter screen should be pretty straightforward. Of course I want you to be ready for anything, but typically, these are relatively simple conversations. This video should help - ua-cam.com/video/TFKJ5I4VLjc/v-deo.html. Good luck!!

    Thanks, Jeff. I'm preparing for a senior account executive role (non-tech/Google Ads solutions), and this information is extremely useful. I can't wait to return and thank you/your videos for helping me get into Google very soon. 😁🤞 Quick question: Instead of the Technical framework, which frameworks would you recommend I focus on for this role?

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 23 дні тому

      @ZorianDelaCosta, remember that frameworks should focus on what you think are the most important items. Some framework concepts to consider for this role are: Goals and Objectives, Research, Scope/Scale, Campaigns, Performance, Prioritization, Personalization, Budget, Timeline, Target Audience, Competition Market Data, Segmentation/Niche , Needs/ Preferences, Use Cases, Trends. I hope this helps!

    Hi Jeff, thanks for sharing this video. I've recently discovered your channel and you have a lot of helpful content! Follow-up question to this video: if the role lists a salary range, and the recruiter either asks about your salary expectations or if the range posted is up to your expectations, how should you respond? Should you mention the salary range that's posted? Thanks!

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 23 дні тому

      @user-eo2bo6my3o, great question! If the salary range is posted and it fits your criteria and they ask about it, I would simply follow up with a different question. Specifically, "well, can you tell me a little bit more about what else you offer from a compensation perspective? For example, an annual bonus, equity, sign on bonus, etc.?" This will do two things, it will give you insight into their full compensation model and not really show that you like the salary range, even if you do. If they come back again and ask about how you feel about the range, I would simply say "I am interested in moving forward in the process and meeting with the team. And if we all decide it is a fit, we can revisit the numbers at that time. And I feel comfortable moving forward right now." So you have reiterated your interest to move forward, but you have not fully committed to anything. I hope this helps!

    Hey Jeff, if the interview is 45 minutes, you did it all in 5-6 mins?

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 26 днів тому

      @saedf0, typically, you will get 5-7 questions in a Googleyness and Leadership interview, but that can vary greatly depending on your interviewer and the types of questions they ask you. I hope this sample question and answer helped!

    My recruiuter told me that there is only 2 overall feedback for each round : thumbs up or thumbs down. not strong hire | lean hire | lean not hire | strong not hire

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi 26 днів тому

      @nikhil199029, things are always changing, I have not heard about that change, let me ask a couple of friends and confirm if things have changed. The only thing I think right now is it would definitely be a thumbs up or thumbs down if it was for a TVC role.

    I am a TVC on the last 2 months of my contract as a DT. I have my team match video call with 3 OM's on Monday for a DT2 position. My recruiter said I had all good indicators on my interviews. I am not as nervous as I was for the interviews, but I can't get rid of the butterflies in my stomach.

      @justaguyinashed, first of all, you got this! Butterflies and little bit of stress is beneficial, it means you care and you know it is important. Take your time, you know what you are talking about, you have been there performing the job. And lastly, remember to breathe, take deep breaths, it does amazing things for your body and mind. Good luck!!
